PERSONAL:
Simon was born and bred in Bushbuckridge, a dusty village called Mkhuhlu near Hazyview in Mpumalanga Province.
EDUCATION:
He obtained a Diploma in Hotel Management with Technikon Witwatersrand (TWR) in 1996, completed Financial Management with Wits Business School in 2010, Directorship courses part 1-3 (Governance & Ethics) in 2011 with the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa (IODSA).
Simon also completed various short courses in Labour Relations Act, Customer Service, Health & Safety, Executive Development Programme, Business Management, Sales and Marketing with credible accredited institutions.
CAREER HISTORY:
Simon started his career in the Hospitality Industry as a cleaner, he worked himself up the ranks until he became a Manager at Sanbonani Resort Hotel in Hazyview, he specialized mostly in Food & Beverage Management for over 15 years in various 3, 4- & 5-star Hotels around the country. He later joined a medium sized Cleaning & Hygiene Services Company in Johannesburg as Operations Manager in 2006, during his 15-year tenure at the Company, he occupied various roles including Sales and Marketing Manager, General Manager & Business Development Director.
